This study examined the effect of monetary policy on value of stock traded in Nigerian Stock Exchange. Specifically, we ascertained the effect of monetary policy rate, liquidity ratio and loan to deposit ratio on value of stock traded using the Autoregressive Distribute Lag (ARDL) based on annual data from 1986 to 2017. Our findings showed that monetary policy rate, liquidity ratio and loan to deposit ratio have no significant effect on value of stock traded. Monetary policy rate maintained a negative relationship with value of stock traded, while liquidity ratio and loan to deposit ratio positively correlated with value of stock traded. We are vehemently of the view that expansionary monetary policy that guarantees adequate liquidity in the economy should be pursued vigorously by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Adequate level of liquidity offers firms’ in the stock market better access to financial resources which will increase their revenue and thus appreciation in their stocks trading.

The main sources of water are rain, surface and ground water. These resources are contaminated due to human and industrial activities. Both urban and rural areas, ground water is an eminent source of drinking water. The main objective of this study was to access the quality of ground water in Faisalabad city. From twelve different colonies of the Faisalabad water samples were collected to estimate their physiochemical parameters. The physiochemical parameters such as (pH, Electrical conductivity, Total dissolve solids, Calcium, Bi-carbonates, Total Hardness and chloride) were analyzed and their values were compared with the standard values given by the WHO. In majority of the colonies some parameters were found within permissible parameters of above standard such as pH and total hardness. But in few colonies EC, TDS, Bi-carbonates and chlorides values deviated with reference to the recommended values. On the completion of data physiochemical parameters of ground water, statistical analysis was applied. Descriptive statistics was carried out to evaluate the significant different between means of samples.

The economy of a developing country like Nigeria depends mainly on crude oil exploration, currently other economic factors such as Agriculture, Industrialization, Manufacturing, other available mineral resources e.t.c., are not properly harnessed to improve the country’s GDP. A detailed study of the effect of ten economic factors of Nigeria’s economy was investigated and Principal Component Analysis was employed to explain the relationship, distribution and effect of the factors among the various sectors of Nigeria. It was discovered that a strong positive significant association existed between building and manufacturing, construction, wholesale and retail, transportation, communication, utilities, real estate and community social services, while a negative relationship existed between cruel oil and Agriculture. The component with the highest effect on the Nigerian economy was Agriculture, followed by crude oil and manufacturing/industrialization. The PCA has suggested retaining two components i.e. Agriculture and cruel oil. It was recommended that Nigeria Government should consider Agriculture first as the major economic factor before cruel oil and natural Gas.

This study is an experimental test done on the secondary data of banking sector of Islamabad Stock Exchange for year 2017 and applied different techniques on the given data record by using Generalized Extreme Value Distribution (GEV), Gumble Distribution (GBL), Generalized Pareto Distribution (GPD), Exponential Distribution (EXP), Gamma Distribution (GAM), Weibull Distribution (WBL) on the data of four banks Habib Bank, Allied Bank, Bank Alfalah and Askari Bank. This data is concerning the closing quotations and returns of four banks registered in Islamabad Stock Exchange. We try to fit different distributions on the data and founnd the best fit distribution.

We estimated the parameters of each distribution and also find the standard deviations of each distribution by using R Language and find which distribution is the best fit distribution on the basis of standard deviation distribution. We analyzed that shape wise GEV is the most suitable distribution, scale wise EXP distribution the best and location wise the best one is Gumbal distribution. This article shows that the overall GEV is the best distribution to model correctly the data.
